Established in 2010, ConsultAsia Global (Southeast Asia), Inc. is a training and development consulting firm that offers end-to-end training solutions. We currently have offices in Makati (Philippines), London (England), Melbourne (Australia), and Edmonton (Canada).

It all started when I made a decision not to get employed by someone else again ever. I did not get investors. I financed the business 100 percent. Consulting is my area of expertise and I built the business’ customer base from my own personal network. I also use the same to market our services.

What makes your business stand out?
I believe that our consultants and facilitators make our business stand out. We employ PWDs to give them a chance to be successful in the consulting industry. Our consultants are originally from Asia and are now part of a global network of experts.

We generate new ideas for business growth by taking a sabbatical periodically. I believe it is crucial for both personal and professional growth. We are building and nurturing a culture of respect and service. Our core values are integrity, discipline, and excellence.

How do you deal with major mishaps? What would you say is one of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?
Forget the mishap, build on the lesson. My biggest mistake was starting too late.

What skills do you believe are necessary in handling a business?
People skills.

What would you say are some dos and don’ts in starting one?
Do implement your idea. Don’t mind other people’s businesses.

What is your greatest fear?
To be honest, nothing scares me anymore.

What sacrifices have you had to make to get here?
The predictability and security of income.

What can you consider is your greatest success?
Raising my amazing daughter, Sofia, and giving back to my elderly parents.

What would you say is the secret to success?
Integrity.

What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Flexibility with my time.

What motivates you? Who has been your greatest inspiration?
My daughter, Sofia, and my Dad.

Where do you see yourself and your business in 10 years?
Providing jobs in 50 countries.

Do you consider yourself an ambitious person? Explain why.
Yes. I leave my comfort zone each time and transition to my courage zone.

Do you think being ambitious helps you in business? How?
Yes. It sustains my energy and sense of purpose.

What piece of advice can you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Develop their personal “why” – Why they want to do it and what is the higher good that they are serving.
