For most people, extensive travel is one of the most sought-after perks they can enjoy as holders of a Golden Visa or Golden Passport (second passport). Of course, apart from enjoying the peace of mind that stems from having a Plan B or back-up plan, being able to visit countries whenever you please, especially those that are not easily accessible because of your current passport, is a dream.

So, for those successful applicants who have recently received their new Grenada passport, here are some of the countries you could—and should—visit.

All European Union (EU) Countries

It goes without saying that Grenada, being a commonwealth country, gives you access not just to the United Kingdom, but also the whole EU. On May 28, 2015, the representatives of Grenada and the EU signed a historic document. Grenada citizens can now visit the whole EU visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. In fact, Grenada citizens no longer need a visa to visit four countries outside of the Schengen zone, namely Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway.

Based on 2017 figures, Filipinos filed over 170,000 visa applications to the Schengen Area. While the approval rate is over 80 percent and more and more Filipinos are traveling to Europe recently, having a Grenada passport can make the process a whole lot easier because it takes away the need for a visa application.
If you and your family are planning a trip to the EU as Grenada passport holders this year, here are some countries you should visit apart from proverbial Paris.

1. Austria

Its capital city, Vienna, belongs the list of top 10 European cities with the “most extensive art and culture scene.” The charm is evident in its opera houses, music halls, museums and even in its government buildings and cafes. If you find yourself in Vienna, don’t forget to visit its own version of Disneyland, the Prater, even if you don’t have kids in tow.

2. Finland

If you want some peace and quiet and to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, try to visit Finland even at least once in your lifetime. The laidback lifestyle and the abundant nature scene will definitely revive you. Forget the hotels and opt for a quaint cottage in the woods and be one with nature. If you’re a writer or an artist, Finland is a great place to visit to work on that novel or painting.

3. Sweden

This EU country is a must-visit for history fans or even historical drama geeks. If you love visiting old castles, head to the Drottningholm Palace. Fan of the Vikings? Visit Birka and experience the Viking Heritage for yourself with a boat ride in a genuine Viking ship! And when in Stockholm, the capital city, don’t forget to visit the Vasa Museum and see with your own eyes a well-preserved ship dating back to the 1600s.
